This is our Hausberg Ski Lodge. It is run by Americans and obviously closed during the summertime. We offer ski lessons and booze, what a combination!! I will be doing a "Ski Week" here in December. It's 5 days of ski lessons, (free for me, SWEET!). I am gonna snowboard instead of ski though. I will learnhow to snowboard from 8am til prolly 1 or 2pm and then go to work. I am gonna be struggling, all the staff says it is a very tiring week, but its free so why not.

This is the front desk at the Hausberg Lodge.

That is Leah Fitsimm..-bush, I Can't pronounce her Hawaiin name. She is the Front Desk Manager at the Hale Kaua Hotel in Hawaii. It is another AFRC just like Edelweiss. The AFRC's have a program where management will move to another AFRC for a month to get ideas from each other and learn more. I am hoping I can get in on that next year maybe, I could live with being in Hawaii for a month. Mom, I know you you would wouldn't hesitate at all to come see me there.

This is the bar and restaurant at the Hausberg. I have heard up to 1000 Germans and Americans will cram in here and party. We don't run the restaurant, Germans do so that means I can join in on the fun.

This is just to the left of the picture above. It is something for the kids while mommy and daddy are drinking German Beer.

This is what they call the "backyard" this is where the lessons are. And yes, this will be where I fall several times and probably sprain an ankle. It's still a little to warm to get snow, but we have snow machines as well to create good powder on the hill. I say that like I know a lot about snowboarding or winter sports. I really don't.

This is just next to the backyard. I like this picture because everyone tells me that when you see snow at a low elevation like that, then you know it's coming. But it hasn't yet. You can see the snow at the top on the trees.
